Lessons are concept-first and project-based, with outdoor learning every day. Our curriculum is built on the Cambridge framework, taught by teachers trained in Cambridge methodology.

Children work out why something is true before they learn it by heart.
Subjects meet in real projects that children plan, build and present.
Lessons move into the gardens and the outdoor classroom, every school day.
Books, materials and conversation first. Technology where it helps, sparingly.
We would rather show you what Cambridge means in a classroom than describe it. The curriculum documents are published, and we share ours term by term.
Children reason, test and explain, not only calculate.
Children plan their own investigations and record what they find.
Children research a question, take a view and present it.
You can read exactly what your child is learning each term.
One curriculum, taught carefully, from a child's first day to their last year with us.

Stories, gardens, music and plenty of play, with one adult for every eight children. Reading and number arrive through things children can touch and talk about.

Big questions explored through projects. A Grade 4 class might spend weeks on where our water comes from. Global Perspectives, French or Spanish and public speaking begin.

Longer investigations, writing at length and leading projects. Sport and art stay on the timetable, and there are no coaching classes in the school day.
English is the language of every classroom and corridor. Alongside it, children learn the language of the place they live, and one more from further away.
We will never pull a child out of sport or art for extra marks.

Tours run Monday to Saturday and take about an hour. Bring your child; there is room to run.
